The Gods Are Calling

EUROPE, MG – After having ICE scored my existing projects and getting the funniest and probably easiest project as #1, I realised that what I really want to do is actually my very first book idea that just came up while making the evaluation.

And I jumped into it in the meantime, starting to outline the story and developing characters. Although I really enjoy the process of worldbuilding, actually it is the most fun activity I can imagine, here it is somewhat different. It is research-heavy at this stage and this I also enjoy, but I need to strike a balance as immersing into it too much may easily kill a project.

So I have to do the right amount of research and fill the rest with worldbuilding – I would have to do it anyway, so it's nice and somewhat naturally balanced with this project.

But the funny thing is that this idea I had for more than a decade and maybe this is the first time that I feel that I am ready to do it. And I duly started to work on it and it felt natural, fun and comforting. And actually this is something I have to get out of the way before moving on to other projects and I just figured out that I may work like this as a writer.

The writing contest helped me a great deal in that regard as it was also an opportunity for me to get something out of the way and it became the very first piece I published that can be strictly considered as literature.

So, after eight to ten years of light brainstorm and four years of heavy brainstorm I had to get back to where I started, almost 15 years ago, where the idea of launching a writing career came. And maybe the purpose of this writing career would be this very project and any related project, and also the main purpose of my unfinished university career. This we find out as I will move along the chapters and the book(s).

After all, 2021 was the utmost productive year of my life, giving me my daughter, my new home and the final boost that I needed for writing. Everyone says that 2022 can only get better so I am absolutely all for it!
