Delivering the Very Me

EARTH, MWG – Another project idea came up, obviously and this tide of the year also brought back my very first book idea that I have yet to do... Now I have so many (possible) projects that I just had to ICE score them... really professional and at the same time... pathetic...
Well this has obviously been a problem for me: I have been more of a creator/idea-man than a writer/doer and the purpose of this website and blog would be in the first place to figure out which projects to move and which ones to avoid. I just enjoy worldbuilding but haven't had the real confidence to immerse in actual writing. But I have to as I know that I am able.
So now I have a nice table which says what I would have been able to tell without scoring it, but that way it would have been less scientific...

Anyway, who says that writing should be scientific at all? Okay, more and more people can do it because there are others who help them with standardising the industry: there are methods that work and you don't have to figure them out yourself. This helps as on paper you only need to be creative and just check all the rest from a list and... in the end you virtually just fill templates...
This way you get books that work and sell but I am not sure if these books have any soul. This is the same problem that Hollywood has. This approach limits the creativity in a way as you stop figuring out methods and structures as these will be basically outlined for you. Every surprise will be half-expected and every chapter will do no more than fulfilling the needs of the reader.
Is this the way storytelling should go? Or is it just the beginning of its end? Maybe the ending of its end... Thinking about all this too much makes you want to quit – but at the same time any idiot is able to fix a book and sell it nowadays, so why not to try and deliver something that is very Me?
